YOUNG HARRIS, Ga. | Young Harris College volleyball, soccer and cross country teams open their respective 2021 seasons this weekend.
Thursday, Sept. 2
Women's Soccer at Tusculum University, 7 p.m.
- This will be the third all-time meeting with the Pioneers. Young Harris and Tusculum battled to a 2-2 draw in 2011 before the Pioneers recorded a 2-1 decision over YHC in 2019.
- This will be the first-ever meeting in Greeneville, Tennessee.

Friday, Sept. 3
Volleyball at Queens (N.C.) Volleyball Fall Classic
- The Mountain Lions will face Elizabeth City State University at 10:30 a.m. before facing Wingate University at 3 p.m.
- This will be the first-ever meetings against the Vikings and Bulldogs.

Men's and Women's Cross Country at Eye Opener
- The Mountain Lions will open their season at the Milliken Research Center in Spartanburg, South Carolina.
- The women's 5K race will start at 6:30 p.m. followed by the men's 8K race at 7:10 p.m.
Saturday, Sept. 4
Volleyball at Queens (N.C.) Volleyball Fall Classic
- The Mountain Lions will face Chowan University at 2:30 p.m. before facing tournament host Queens University of Charlotte at 7 p.m. on the final day of the event.
- This will be the first-ever meetings against the Hawks and Royals.

Sunday, Sept. 5
Women's Soccer vs. Carson-Newman University, 5 p.m.
- This will be the home opener for the Mountain Lions.
- This will be the fourth-ever meeting with the Eagles. Carson-Newman leads the all-time series 3-1-0.
- Young Harris is 1-1-0 against the Eagles in the Enchanted Valley. YHC won 2-0 in 2013 at home before the Eagles claimed a 3-1 win in 2019.

Men's Soccer vs. Emmanuel (Ga.) College, 7 p.m.
- This will be the season opener and home opener for Young Harris.
- The Mountain Lions have won both previous meetings with the Lions. YHC claimed a 3-1 home win in 2017 before shutting out Emmanuel 4-0 at home in 2019.
