Young Harris College Director of Golf Eric Quinn has released the spring portion of the 2021-22 women's golf schedule.
"I am very excited to see what we can do this spring season with the addition of Emma Agermo back from injury," said Quinn. "We had some very big positives from our group in the fall that we are building on and still improving upon, but this Spring season I expect us to perform and execute to our utmost ability."
INSIDE THE SCHEDULE:
- The Mountain Lions open their spring schedule at the World Golf Invitational Feb. 7-8 in St. Augustine, Florida. The 36-hole tournament will be held on the World Golf Village's Slammer and Squire course. The tournament has been the traditional spring opener for Young Harris as most of the region's top teams will compete at the event.
- A new tournament dots the spring schedule as they will compete at the Battle at Hilton Head Feb. 21-22 in Hilton Head Island, South Carolina, on the Robert Trent Jones Course at Palmetto Dunes.
- The Mountain Lions will return to the Dunes West Golf and River Club in Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, Feb. 28 and March 1 for the Low Tide Intercollegiate hosted by Limestone University.
- YHC wraps up its regular season schedule March 28-29 as they will compete at the Bearcat Invitational. The tournament hosted by Lander University will be competed on the Greenwood County Club layout in Greenwood, South Carolina.
- The Peach Belt Conference Tournament will have a new location in 2022 as the 54-hole event shifts to the Sea Palms Resort in St. Simons Island, Georgia. The tournament will be held April 15-17 with the winner earning the league's automatic bid to the NCAA Division II Tournament.
