The junior varsity Yellow Jackets look to get back on the winning track after a pair of disappointing conference losses last week.

Andrews 58,

Hayesville 26

Rhett Sellers swished a pair of three-pointers and Micah Moss put the ball in the hole twice as Hayesville bettered Andrews, 13-10, in the first quarter Friday.

The Wildcats came back, taking advantage of four missed free throws by Hayesville to take the upper hand 20-18 at the intermission.

Andrews broke the game open in the third stanza behind Luke Clark’s 10 markers as the Wildcats outscored the hosts 15-3.

The fourth quarter was even more one-sided. Andrews rolled for 23 with a single marker by Clark, who finished with 24 points. Hayesville was only able to muster 5 points in the final act.

Hayesville was plagued by poor free throwing popping all night — the Black-and-Gold made just 5-of-15.

Wes Jennings topped Hayesville’s scorers with 8. Sellers had 6; Moss, 4; Carson Finn and Eli Cheeks scored 3 apiece.

Clark led all scorers with 24.

Robbinsville 54,

Hayesville 21

The Black Knights had four double-digit quarters and Hayesville never scored more than 7 in a period during a one-sided game in Robbinsville last Tuesday.

Robbinsville led 19-4 at the first stop, 31-8 at the half and 42-14 after three quarters.

Jennings and Sellers led the Yellow Jackets with 6 points each. Peyton Cordell tossed in 5. Cheeks and Fransisco Rios scored 2 points apiece.

Eli Lambert paced Robbinsville’s potent offense with 18 markers.
