Second quarter turnovers plague JV Jackets in loss to Cherokee

    The JV Jackets took another lose after a hard battle against Cherokee on Thursday, Sept. 19. While they lost 28-18, the team still gave their all.

    The first half of the game offense was played well. Coach Blake McClure said, "Broken plays and turnovers hurt us in the second half.” 

    The coaches agreed that even though is was a difficult loss they are proud of the work the team put in. 

    Quarterback Crow Collins had 187 yards and one passing touchdown.  Jonathan Godinez led in take downs with nine tackles. 

    The Jackets will likely learn from this game and use that knowledge in next week's road game against the Robbinsville Black Knights. Game time is 6 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 26.
