Strong season ends in first playoff round

    Lady Jacket Varsity Volleyball played in the first round of the state playoffs Saturday, Oct. 21. The Lady Jackets traveled to Rosman. The outcome was not what they hoped for. Rosman beat ther Lady Jackets 3-0.

    “The Lady Jackets started off game one very strong, you would have thought it was going to be a quick match in the Jackets favor, after a 9-2 lead, Rosman rallied to go ahead,” according to Coach Tammy Dills.

    Dills reiterated, "We have struggled in many games throughout our season on finishing for the win, unfortunately the game you don't want that to happen to it does."

    Even with the season cut short, Dills talked about highlights for the season.

    A few she mentioned included beating Swain at home and then beating Murphy on their home floor.

    She went on to talk about how much her players have grown in their skills. Dills said she is excited to know several are playing travel ball which will only make the program stronger.
