Smoky Mountain All-Conference standouts Kyle Lunsford, No. 7, Logan Caldwell., No. 6, and Taylor McClure, No. 20, are big reasons why Hayesville football coaches and fans are optimistic about the 2022 season. The talented trio accounted for more than 4,000 yards of offense last year. Hayesville kicks off its season at 10 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 11 with a scrimmage against visiting Franklin. The regular-season begins at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Aug. 26 when Georgia Force Christian visits Frank R. Long Stadium.
