Hayesville Varsity Football took a hard hit Friday, Sept. 6 on the Andrews Wildcat field.
The Yellow Jackets and the Wildcats put up a hard fight in the first quarter with a score of 0.
The game remained scoreless into the second and third quarters until the Wildcats made scored a touchdown 50 seconds into the fourth.
Not long after Andrews added a point, leading the game 7-0.
The Yellow Jackets continued to fight and finally made a mark on the field with 5:38 left on the clock.
Hayesville tried to hold on, but couldn’t leaving the score 7-2 Andrews.
The Yellow Jackets play at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Sept. 13 at Pisgah.
Homecoming will be held at Frank R. Long Memorial Stadium on Friday, Sept. 12 during the half-time ceremony.
