Young Harris College Director of Golf Eric Quinn has released the spring portion of the 2021-22 men's golf schedule.

"Unfortunately we didn't have our best stuff this fall, but put in some great work this offseason," said Quinn.  "I believe we have the ability to be competitive this spring, but just need to be a little more disciplined and execute to the ability I know that we can."

INSIDE THE SCHEDULE:

  • The Mountain Lions open up their spring schedule Feb. 28 and March 1 at the Hurricane Invitational hosted by Georgia Southwestern State University. The tournament, which will be played at the Doublegate Country Club in Albany, Georgia, has been a good one for Young Harris. YHC won the event in 2018 and came in a tie for second place in 2019.
  • For the second consecutive season, Young Harris will compete in the Bobcat Invitational hosted by Georgia College March 21-22 at The Golf Club at Cuscowilla in Eatonton, Georgia. The Mountain Lions came in fifth place last spring.
  • Young Harris returns to the WindRiver Golf Club to defend its Tennessee River Rumble crown March 28-29. It was one of two team wins by the Mountain Lions during the 2020-21 season.
  • The Mountain Lions conclude their regular season schedule April 4-5 at a new event hosted by the University of North Georgia - the Bracket Challenge. The match play event will be held on the renovated Chimney Oaks Golf Club in Homer, Georgia.
  • The Peach Belt Conference Tournament will have a new location in 2022 as the 54-hole event shifts to the Sea Palms Resort in St. Simons Island, Georgia. The tournament will be held April 15-17 with the winner earning the league's automatic bid to the NCAA Division II Tournament. Young Harris is the defending champion.
