    Town of Hayesville Council members met Friday, July 17 to discuss a land lease agreement and also, to review recommendations from the Planning and Zoning Board meeting. The land lease agreement pertained to the leaning stone wall on Main Street in Hayesville. The town does not own the wall or the property where the wall is located. Council reviewed the lease agreement that is necessary in order to apply for a grant to address storm water problems. The Planning and Zoning Board's recommendation to rezone a parcel of land owned by Jacky Jones from residential to commercial was reviewed. Council heard the recommendations and voted to move the request to a Public Hearing at 6:30 p.m. Monday, Aug. 10. No closed session was called and council moved to adjourn.
