Foster care transition program for 18 to 21

Friday is deadline to register for primary

Firing range helps officers to meet qualifications

By Mark Buchanan Clay County Sheriff   Under former Clay County Sheriff Bobby Deese’s administration, land was secured across Hinton Center Road from the Clay County Transfer Station to be used as a firing range for officers to meet their qualification requirements.

By Lorrie Ross Staff Writer   Ever thought about fostering children? Clay County currently has 24 children living in the foster system. While most live in homes in Clay or Cherokee County, some have been placed as far as six hours away because of the need for foster families.
