September Net Tax Revenue Up 0.7%

The State of Georgia’s net tax collections in September totaled roughly $2.25 billion for an increase of $15.7 million, or 0.7 percent, compared to last year when net tax collections totaled $2.23 billion. Year-to-date, net tax revenue collections totaled $5.83 billion for an increase of $21.

Braves' McCann says good bye after crushing Game 5 loss

   Marietta, Ga. – He broke in the majors as a rookie with Atlanta in 2005, making a splash with the "Baby Braves" by homering off Roger Clemens in Game 2 of the NLDS during his inaugural campaign.    Now, Brian McCann has come full circle.

Think before you drink creek water

“The best water in the world rolls off lizard backs.” This is a common refrain in areas where the water runs clear and seemingly pure, but folk wisdom fails to account for the variety of RWIs (recreational water illnesses), that humans can catch from drinking untreated water.
