Courage or bravery or maybe even strength

When my husband first left this earth, people told me I was strong. I recoiled from this label because at the time I felt anything but strong. I think maybe I’ve since changed my mind. Please allow me this grace.

Thomas sought truth

In the gospel of John, we see that Thomas was not present when Jesus first appeared to the disciples (see Jn. 20:24). When they told Thomas that they had seen Jesus, Thomas could not accept Jesus being alive as a reality.

CON Laws Are Too Risky

Give our guns to the Afghanistan women

Afghanistan has guns but they are in the hands of the wrong people. Television news reports have confirmed the Taliban has our helicopters, our tanks, our trucks, along with billions of dollars of our American tax payer bought military weapons and more.

Fire Safety With Pets

For those of you who have pets, you most likely have a strong relationship with them. Pets can give us unconditional love and comfort. However, did you know that your pet can also cause a fire? According to NFPA, pets and wild animals have had a part in starting about 700 house fires per year.

Believers have no reason to fear death

Jesus surprised and frightened his disciples when he suddenly appeared among them. They were in hiding behind doors that were securely locked. Seeking to bring calmness to this gathering, Jesus asked them for something to eat. The doubters think that Jesus is a ghost.

Have you ever helped someone who has been beaten up by life?

Life isn’t easy.  It is full of bumps and bruises.  I would be willing to guess you have a bruise on you right now.  When a child gets a “boo boo”, they want someone to show them love.  We kiss it and make it feel better. We put a band-aid on it as their “red badge of courage.

Smoke Alarms Save Lives

If smoke alarms are installed properly and maintained, they can play a major role in saving lives during a fire. Once a fire starts, the smoke will move quickly. Working smoke alarms will give you a warning so that you can get outside fast.
