By Richard Purdy Guest Writer   The Chatuge Shores Men’s Golf Association celebrated a landmark 90th birthday for member Doug Stuart. He has been a long time member of the Chatuge Shores Men’s Association and was the past secretary/treasurer for 10 years. Happy birthday, Stuart.

Hayesville ended the softball season with an 11-game losing streak and anemic 2-12 record, but I will forever view the 2023 Lady Yellow Jackets as winners. On the diamond they displayed poise, determination and a never-say-die attitude.

Hayesville continues to make noise in 1A golf

Staff Report   Seth Hedden and Connor Pullum will represent Hayesville High School in the North Carolina High School Athletic Association 1A West Golf Regional, which is quite a feat for a school unable to compete in tournaments in recent years.

Heartbreaking end to middle school Jackets’ season

By Brooke Reynolds Guest Writer   The 2023 HMS Baseball season came to an end on Monday when they faced the Murphy Bulldogs. The Jackets were unable to leash the Bulldogs in the final game of the season.

Middle school Lady Jackets ‘23 season comes to a close

By Annie Brooks Guest Writer   The Hayesville Middle School Girls 2023 season came to an end when they faced the Murphy Middle School Girls on Monday, May 8. The Hayesville Middle School Girls allowed the game to slip away early and couldn’t recover in a 10-0 loss in five innings.
