By Daniel Sherlin Guest Writer   On Friday, Dec. 8 Hayesville Schools hosted for the first time a Women's Wrestling Sanctioned NCHSAA duel against the Swains Women's Wrestling team. Three girls from Hayesville were involved in this wrestling duel. Amyna Denton in the 120 pound weight class.

By Gary Corsair Sports Writer   Hayesville wasn’t ready for a taller, more-experienced, fast-breaking, long-distance gunning, full-court pressing team, but the Yellow Jackets didn’t quit in a 76-56 loss to undefeated Franklin. “We are learning as we go,” Hayesville Coach Mike Cottrell stated.
