Jacket wrestler Denton wins 3rd championship

By Daniel Sherlin Guest Writer   The Lady Jackets traveled to Robbinsville on Saturday, Jan 13 to wrestle at the annual James Orr Tournament. Amyna Denton wrestled in the 120 pound weight class and tied for matches won in her weight class.

The Hiawassee River Bass Club winners of the year are: • First place - Dean Tucker -  five fish - 14.29 pound. • Second place - Tommy Nichols - five fish - 13.29 pound. • Third place - Randy Cook five fish 13.00 pound. • Fourth place - Ronnie McDonald - five fish - 12.91 pound.

Heroes a plenty in Lady Jackets third quarter win

By Gary Corsair Sports Writer   Bryleigh Krieger won the game not once, but twice at Robbinsville Friday night. First Krieger scored on a fast break lay-up with 1:10 left in regulation that erased a 14-point deficit and gave Hayesville a one-point lead.
