Christmas + PJs = fun

Hayesville Elementary and Primary Schools enjoyed Pajama Days right before the Christmas break on Thursday and Friday.  The atmosphere was fun for children and teachers alike, just like being at home even while studying or teaching a class.

The Polar Express was among the extraordinary floats in Saturday’s Hayesville Christmas Parade which boasted a procession of about 80 entries including cars, side-by-sides, horses and marching band among the array of unique floats. The Polar Express took the award for Best Overall Float, representing the State Employees Credit Union.

Parade heralds holiday in style

By Becky Long Publisher   The holiday spirit rolled into the streets of downtown Hayesville Saturday evening in the form of a record number of entries, big crowds along the route and an array of  bright, colorful floats.
