Clay County Manager and director of Health and Human Services Debbie Mauney began her career more than 30 years ago. She started working for Clay County in August 1990 as Child Welfare social worker and continued that role through February 1997.
Mayor Harry Baugh, Councilman Joe Slaton, Councilwoman Lauren Tiger and Councilman Austin Hedden (L-R) are donating their financial “token of appreciation” checks to charity. The Town Council offered all citizens who can provide proof they are town residents and have been vaccinated against the Covid-19 virus a check for $100. As of Monday, 107 checks had been issued.

Drop-off site to open for Operation Christmas Child

More than 4,000 locations will open to collect Operation Christmas Child shoebox gifts for the Samaritan’s Purse project. Volunteers are preparing to collect shoebox gifts during National Collection Week, Monday, Nov. 15 through Monday, Nov. 22, offering a curbside option.
