Andrews-based air ambulance crashes

Franklin – Four people – an Andrews-based flight crew and one patient – survived when an air ambulance en route from Murphy to Asheville crashed in Macon County about 7 p.m. Thursday.

Shine a green light to honor our military veterans in need

Operation Green Light is an initiative to shine a light on the plight of veterans in counties across the country who are having a hard time connecting with benefits after serving their country. As of 2019, 11.7 million veterans are over the age of 65, which is about 61 percent of all veterans.

Ribbons for winners and plans for future farmers

By Marcia Barnes Feature Writer   Randall Townley is a business man, a farmer, a breeder and a mentor to younger farmers who are members of Future Farmers of America and 4H. The Georgia native wears several other hats known to those who are close to him. He is at home in Cleveland, Ga.
