Legislators get opposition, support for U.S. Supreme Court redistricting plea

Local Girl Scout Camps Offer 2022 Summer Programs

 Girl Scouts and the outdoors have gone hand in hand since Juliette Gordon Low established the organization in 1912. At Girl Scouts Carolinas Peaks to Piedmont (GSCP2P), registration has opened for its 2022 summer camp sessions and early bird pricing on programs runs through February 28.

Cable Cove Campground will not re-open in 2022

 U.S. Forest Service officials announced they will not re-open Cable Cove Campground located in Robbinsville, N.C. on the Nantahala National Forest in 2022. The aging facility has more than $184,300 in current, existing deferred maintenance needs.
