Staff Reports   Alyssa Danielle Seabolt, 26, of Murphy, was sentenced Friday to 18 years in prison followed by a lifetime of supervised release for production of child pornography, Dena J. King, U.S. Attorney for the Western District of North Carolina, announced in a release. U.S.

News Release   At the request of the Union County Sheriff’s Office, Region 8 GBI agents are investigating an officer-involved shooting in Union County. Wendall Cross, 85, of Blairsville, was shot and killed. No officers were injured. Preliminary information indicates at 3:30 p.m. Sunday, Feb.
