GBI investigates officer-involved shooting

News Release   At the request of the Union County Sheriff’s Office, Region 8 GBI agents are investigating an officer-involved shooting in Union County. Wendall Cross, 85, of Blairsville, was shot and killed. No officers were injured. Preliminary information indicates at 3:30 p.m. Sunday, Feb.

Voting gets underway Thursday

American Legion recognizes Seibert and local winners
