By Deby Jo Ferguson Staff Writer   Amelia Kenlee Shook was crowned queen by Rylee Kitchens, 2024 Pageant Queen at the 2025 Georgia Mountain Fair Pageant on Saturday, June 14 after competing against seven other contestants.  Shook is 23 years old from Hiawassee, Ga.

Farmers market extends hours

By Tyler Osborn Clay County Agriculture Agent   Big news is sprouting at the Clay County Farmers Market this season. Market hours are now growing longer. Thanks to feedback from both loyal shoppers and dedicated vendors, the market has extended its hours and will now run from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
