Woodstock man accidentally drowns in Lake Chatuge

By Shawn Jarrard Towns County Herald   A Woodstock, Ga., man accidentally drowned in Lake Chatuge early Saturday morning while vacationing at a family friend’s house in the Hidden Valley Road area of the county, according to the Georgia Department of Natural Resources Law Enforcement Division.

Concert series closes out season

By Pam Cray Guest Writer   The Asheville Mountain Boys will wrap up the 2025 Brasstown Community Center Concert Series at 7 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 16. Doors open at 6 p.m. Adult admission is $10 with no admission for children under 12.
