By Lorrie Ross Staff Writer   When Stacie Ledford went to jail about a decade ago, she never dreamed the lowest point in her life would be the start of something important. Yet when Ledford found herself at “rock bottom” she chose that as the name of the group she founded in Jan. 2017.

Crowd attends vigil for Charlie Kirk

By Becky Long Publisher   An impromptu vigil to honor the legacy of Charlie Kirk on Friday, Sept. 12 drew a crowd to the Hayesville square.  A popular conservative activist, Kirk was only 31 when he was assassinated while speaking at a college in Utah.

By Sandy Zimmerman Guest Writer   The annual Historic Hayesville Inc. Steins & Wine event proceeds have supported local partner and area projects for more than 12 years.  HHI is a 501c3 nonprofit organization and continues to sponsor the event featuring area breweries and wineries.

New date announced for Steins & Wine event

By Sandy Zimmerman Guest Writer   The 12th annual event will be held from 4-7:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 20 on the Historic Courthouse Beal Center grounds inside the downtown Hayesville square.  The first area event in Oct.
