More than 40 players participate in pickleball

By Sally Brock Guest Writer More than 40 players were at the pickleball courts Monday morning long before the fog lifted at the Clay County Sports Complex. The eight courts accommodated 32 players for doubles play as several players waited for their turn to rotate in for a game.

Yellow Jacket football games moved

The dates of this week's football games have been moved. Hayesville JV plays at Robbinsville at 6 p.m. Wednesday. Hayesville varsity plays at Andrews at 7:30 p.m. Thursday.

JV Jackets bedeviled by Swain in three overtimes

By Gary Corsair Staff Writer   The Hayesville JV football Yellow Jackets came within a half minute of knocking off Swain County last Thursday before ending up on the short end of another character-builder, 26-20, in triple overtime.

HMS boys cross country finish second at Cherokee
