Hayesville soccer loses close match

HMS Lady Jackets are SMC champs

  By Deby Jo Ferguson Sports Writer   The Smoky Mountain Conference Middle School Championships took place on Monday, April 25 at Robbinsville. The Lady Jackets of Hayesville earned the  SMC title for first place which included several school records set by the young athletes.

Perfection!

A swarm invaded the campus of N.C. State Saturday, March 12, as hundreds of Hayesville Yellow Jacket fans descended on Raleigh to cheer on their undefeated basketball team in the 1A championship game.

And then there was one

For the first time since 2004, the Hayesville Yellow Jackets are state champions. Hayesville completed their perfect 28-0 season with a 54-43 victory of Chatham Charter Saturday, March 12 at N.C. State in Raleigh.

Yellow Jackets to play for state championship

The Hayesville High School varsity boys basketball team is headed to the state championship game. The Yellow Jackets punched their ticket to the finals by grabbing an 81-62 Elite Eight victory over the Thomasville Bulldogs Tuesday, March, 1. In the Western Regional Championship, held at A.C.

WCU Baseball Drops Series Finale to Stony Brook, 3-2

Read Across America Week at Hayesville Primary School

The students at Hayesville Primary School enjoyed a fun-filled, circus-themed week, full of fun and learning during Read Across America Week. The week is nationally recognized around the birthday of the iconic Dr. Seuss, which lands on March 2nd.
