Linda Twist, 77, of Hayesville, passed away Monday, Nov. 15, 2021, in an Asheville hospital. Linda was the daughter of the late Jack H. and Wealtha Hollingsworth. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Jack Hollingsworth.

Lonnie Martin Meyers Jr

Lonnie Martin Meyers Jr., 89, of Palm Harbor, Florida passed away on November 5th, 2021, in Safety Harbor, Florida. He was born in Wallace Ridge, Louisiana on March 3rd, 1932, to the late Lonnie & Alma (La Croix) Meyers. Lonnie served in the United States Navy from 1952 until 1956.

Winifred “Inky” Rogers

Winifred “Inky” Rogers, 76, of Hayesville was called home to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, November 14, 2021. She was a native and lifelong resident of Clay County. Inky worked as a secretary at Rowland Hills Dress Factory for several years.

Johnny Dillard McCray, age 81 of Hayesville, North Carolina, passed away on Saturday, November 6, 2021 at Chatuge Regional Hospital. Johnny was born on May 17, 1940 in Hayesville, North Carolina to the late Mr. and Mrs. Nathan and Jesse (Russell) McCray. Johnny is survived by his wife, Mrs.

Bonnie Kathleen Ludlum (Fee)

Bonnie Kathleen Ludlum (Fee), 77, died November 8th at her home.  She was born in Hollywood and grew up in Fort Pierce, where she was a graduate of Dan McCarty High School.

Irene Nicholson Eller, 96, of Hayesville passed away Friday, November 12, 2021. She was born in Hiawassee, Georgia to the late William P. and Della Margaret Nichols Nicholson. Irene had worked at Anderson's Grocery as a retail clerk. She loved gardening. Irene loved gardening.

Robert N. Long

Robert N. Long, 77, of Hayesville passed away Tuesday, November 09, 2021. He was born in Clay County to the late Buford N. and Donnie Maney Long. Robert served in the US Army and also the National Guard. Robert loved hunting and fishing; especially the hunting trip out west with his buddies.

Ruth Jeanne Lindsay Wilson Russack

Jeanne Russack was born in Chicago, III. on July 12, 1926. She passed away at home in Hiawassee Ga. on October 20, 2021, at age 95. She was surrounded by family & loved ones. Mom loved people. She was involved in many activities & knew a lot of people.

Cary Vernon Bracken

Cary Vernon Bracken, 68, of Hayesville, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 2, 2021 at the Charles George VA Medical Center in Asheville, N.C. He was a native and lifelong resident of Clay County and the son of the late Zed and Barbara Bracken. He was a member of the Living Church of God.
