Jacques Pierre Marchat

Jacques Pierre Marchat, 92, of Hayesville, died gracefully from natural causes due to his great age. Jacques was born, April 11, 1929 in Nyons, France and son of Laurent and Julia Perbaud Marchat. As a young man, he studied architectural drawing and earned a glider’s pilot license.

Bobby Ervin Dills

Bobby Ervin Dills, 85, of Young Harris, Ga. passed away Monday, June 21, 2021 at his home after an extended illness. Bobby was born Oct. 27, 1935 to the late Frank Sr. and Pauline Brown Dills in Murphy, N.C. Bobby was a simple man.

Donna Joan Van Wagner, 77, of Hayesville, passed away on Wednesday, June 9, 2021. Donna was born in Saratoga Springs, N.Y. to the late Henry and Beatrice Fuller Hammond. She was a hospital nurse and loved to bowl.

Leon Teems

Leon Teems, 69 of Murphy, N.C. went home to be with the Lord peacefully at his home on Wednesday, June 9, 2021. He was born in Clay County, N.C. on September 10, 1951, to the late Conley Edward Teems and Georgia Ann Watkins Teems. Leon was a heavy equipment mechanic and loved to piddle around.

Alexandria Leigh Richbourg

Alexandria Leigh Richbourg, 22, of Hayesville, passed away on Saturday, June 12, 2021. Alex was born June 8, 1999 in Tallahassee, Fla. to Jeff and Andrea Richbourg. Alex had the biggest heart. She loved giving all she had to her loved ones. Alex had friends far and wide and never met a stranger.

Kenneth Wade Penland

Mr. Kenneth Wade Penland, 60, passed away on Tuesday, June 1, 2021 after a sudden illness. Mr. Penland was born in Hiawassee, Ga. to Johnny and Judith Penland on Nov. 16, 1960. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force and was a truck driver with Kennesaw Transportation.

Ronald Stephen Patterson

Ronald Stephen Patterson, 70, of Miramar, Fla, formerly of Hayesville and Robbinsville, N.C., went home to be with his Lord and Savior at Memorial Regional Hospital in Hollywood, Fla. on June 10, 2021. He was the son of the late Ed Jr. and Ruby Woodard Patterson.

Irma Nichols McClure

 Mrs. Irma Nichols McClure, 86, of Hayesville, N.C., slipped peacefully into the arms of her Savior on June 9, 2021. Irma was born in Young Harris, Ga. on April 18, 1935 to the late Ralph and Hazel (Coker) Nichols. She was a dedicated teacher for the Clay County School System for 27 years.

William Henry Garrison

William Henry Garrison, 55, of Hayesville, received his peace in the valley on Thursday, June 10, 2021, following a brief illness.  William was a bright, shining light in his family circle. He always found a reason to smile or crack a joke, even on the darkest of days.
