Paul James "Buddy" Vaught, Jr., age 87 of Hayesville, NC, went to be with the Heavenly Father on Wednesday, July 21, 2021. He was born in Rainbow Springs, Macon County to the late Paul James Vaught Sr. and Geneva Gilliand Vaught.

James Edward Booth, age 83 of Hayesville, passed away on Sunday, July 25, 2021. Townson-Rose Funeral Home is in charge of all arrangements.

Sandra Ruth Lyons Clouchete, 62, of Hayesville, earned her angel wings in the early morning of July 4, 2021.  Sandy loved her friends, family, cooking and spending time in her flower garden. She had been a cook at Home for Children, Hinton Center.

Annette Moore Mayo

Mrs. Annette Moore Mayo, 76, a resident of Wilmar, N.C., died Sunday, July 4, 2021 at Duke University Hospital in Durham, following a short battle with her health. A funeral service was held at 11 a.m. Wednesday July 7 at First Church of Christ in Washington, N.C.

Appreciation blossoms after Gardens of Hope tour

Paul “PawPaw” Chastain, 84, of Cleveland, passed away on Sunday, June 27, 2021. Mr. Chastain was born on Aug. 22, 1936 in Rainbow Springs, N.C. to the late Sherman and Louise Bedford Chastain. Paul was a veteran of the U.S. Army and a member of Center Grove Baptist Church.

Mary Susan Williams, 61, of Franklin, N.C. passed away Wednesday, June 23, 2021. She was born in Memphis, Tenn. to William Carl Malone and the late Mary Charlene Russell She was a member of the Church of God and loved to crochet.
