Mattie Adeline Plott Cayce, 102. of Hayesville, passed away on Thursday, Jan. 7, 2021. Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. with a memorial service to follow on Saturday, May 22 at Townson Rose Funeral Home in Hayesville.

Jerry E. Noell, of Leeds, Ala., passed into Glory to be with his Lord Jesus Christ on May 14, 2021. He was born in Athens, Ga. and was preceded in death by his mother, father and youngest brother, Camilla, Millard and Steve Noell, all of Athens, Ga.

Louise Kitchens Scroggs

Louise Kitchens Scroggs, 92, of Hayesville, passed away Saturday, May 15, 2021. She was a native and lifelong resident of Clay County. She was the daughter of the late Gorman and Ethel Ashe Kitchens. Louise worked as a seamstress for Hayesville Manufacturing for 20 years.

Garnet Roberta Bernhardt

Garnet Roberta Bernhardt, 76, of Warne, passed away Monday, May 10, 2021 at her home. Mrs. Bernhardt was born Jan. 23, 1945 in Dover, N.J. to the late Robert Morgan and the late Grace Polwin Morgan. She was preceded in death by her brother, Clifford Morgan and sister, Evelyn Morgan Naas.

David Lynn Mosteller

David Lynn Mosteller, 66, of Robbinsville, N.C., went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, May 15, 2021.  He was the son of the late Monroe “Bill” and Delza Owetta Matheson Mosteller.

Tanya Lynn Freemen, 38, passed away on Thursday, April 15, 2021. Lynn was born on July 19, 1982 in Commerce, Ga. to the late Mr. and Mrs. Ben and Evelyn McConnell Mull. She was a member of Ministries of Grace Church.

Pierce Luther

Pierce Luther, 88, of Hayesville, passed away on Sunday, April 18, 2021.  He was born to Bertie and Elmore Luther in Lithonia, Ga. on April 11, 1933. Pierce served in the United States Army and attended Georgia State College in Atlanta, Ga.

Dorothy Marie Wuertz

Dorothy Marie Wuertz, 99, of Hayesville, passed away on Wednesday, April 21, 2021.  She was born in Pocatello, Idaho to the late Henry and Marie Stolhman Fisher. She was a high school home economics teacher and taught junior college until the age of 80. She attended New Life Church in Hayesville.
