She was born on Sept. 10, 1983 to Debrah and Robert Silknitter in Plano, Texas.
Mrs. Karen Jo Brendle, age 57 of Brown Road, Blairsville, passed away peacefully on Tuesday August 10, 2021 in the Union General Hospital following a brief illness. Karen was born on February 7, 1964 in Cleveland, OH., daughter of the late Luther Brown & Grapelle Anderson.
Joel A. Smith, age 64 of Hayesville, North Carolina passed away Wednesday, August 11, 2021, after a sudden illness.
Joel was born on September 28, 1957 in Greenville, South Carolina. He was married to Yula Smith.
Mrs. Jeannie Lucille Rogers Miles, age 64 of Fodder Creek Road, Hiawassee, went to be with the Lord surrounded by her loving family on August 14, 2021. Jeannie was born on August 29, 1956 in Andrews, NC., daughter of Helen Christine Adams Rogers & the late James “Jimmy” Richard Rogers.
Mr. Medford Roy Griffin, 79, of Zephyrhills, FL and Hayesville, NC went to be with his Lord and Savior on August 7, 2021 in Gainesville, GA, surrounded by his loving family. Funeral services will be held at Cedar Valley Baptist Church on Tuesday, August 10, 2021 at 1:00 PM with Rev.

John Eugene Rogers, 83, of Buford, Ga., passed away on Friday, July 30, 2021.
John was born in Clay County to the late Rev. Oda G. and Minnie Kuykendall Rogers, of Cruso, N.C. He was a graduate of Hayesville High School. He was self employed and was in the automobile business for 47 years.
John William Allison, 82, of Young Harris, Ga., passed away on July 25, 2021 in his home surrounded by his family.
John was born Oct. 11, 1938 to Edgar and Sallie White Allison, of the Woods Grove Community. He graduated from Towns County High School and Smith Hughes Vocational School in Atlanta.
Mr. Samuel Matthew Roach, 82, of Fires Creek, Hayesville, passed away Tuesday, July 27, 2021, at Clay County Care Center. Mr. Roach was born on Feb. 25, 1939, to the late Van B. Roach and the late Hattie Leatherwood Roach.
He was a veteran of the United States Army.
Michelle Stewart Ledford, 56, of Hayesville, passed away Wednesday, July 28, 2021 in a Gainesville, Ga. hospital. She had spent most of her life in Clay County. She worked as an accountant for McKinney Heating & Air for 18 years.
