HHS women's soccer team earns their first win

Hayesville wins middle school girls track meet

By Norashae Patterson Sports Writer   On Monday, March 17, Hayesville Middle School Girls ran a track meet at home winning it with 119 points. Here's how the Jackets fared: High jump: Leah Black, first place with 4 feet 2 inches; Ellie Black third place with 4 feet even.

Hayesville girls soccer team off to rough start in March 5 season opener

By Norashae Patterson Sports Writer   On Wednesday, March 5 the Hayesville High School girls' soccer team played Highlands at home. This was the girls' first game of the season and started out rough. The weather was not ideal for a game as it was freezing rain and the wind was blowing.

Middle school girls impressive at Murphy meet

By Norashae Patterson Sports Writer   On Monday, March 3 the Hayesville Middle School girls’ track team competed at the Murphy track field. The girls won with a final score of 101.  High Jump: Leah Black and Ellie Black tied for first place with 4 feet 4 inches.

Anderson takes first, Big Fish in tournament

The Hiawassee River Bass Club held its March tournament on Lake Lanier where Jimmy Anderson took the Big Fish award with a 5.22 pound spot and he captured first place in the tournament. Here’s how the top anglers fared: First Place: Jimmy Anderson  - 5 Fish  - 16.

Jackets slow out of the batters box
