WGOLF | Rich's career day leads Mountain Lions at LeeAnn Noble Memorial

Young Harris College junior golfer Peyton Rich had a career day at the LeeAnn Noble Memorial hosted by the University of North Georgia Monday (Oct. 11) afternoon. INSIDE THE SCORECARDS: The tournament is being played on the par 72, 5,934-yard layout at the Achasta Golf Club.

Mountain Lions battle at Enchanted Valley Showdown

  The Young Harris College men's and women's tennis teams hosted the Enchanted Valley Showdown this past weekend (Oct. 9-10) at the Bob and Gayle Nichols Tennis Complex. The women's team posted 15 wins in singles and doubles play throughout the weekend.

Volleyball gets fifth win of season

The Lady Yellow Jackets were at home Tuesday, Sept. 28 to face the Lady Hawks of Nantahala .The games moved along very quickly as it was quite evident that the Hawks were no match for the talented squad of coach Tammy Dills. Hayesville won in straight games for their fifth victory of the season.

Mountain Lions battle at Bearcat Invitational

The Young Harris College women's tennis team posted 19 wins in singles and doubles play at the Bearcat Invitational Friday and Saturday (Oct. 1-2). Louise Ratiu and Joselyne Chapui went undefeated in doubles, and Jing Dong went undefeated in singles.

No. 9 YHC shuts out Pacers 3-0

Young Harris College registered its fifth shutout of the season as the No. 9-ranked Mountain Lions recorded a 3-0 Peach Belt Conference men's soccer victory over the University of South Carolina-Aiken Saturday (Oct. 2) afternoon at the YHC Soccer and Lacrosse Field.

Rain Shortens Final Day of WCU Fall Classic

Western Carolina women’s tennis was able to play a pair of singles matches before rain in the area washed out the remaining action the final day of the WCU Fall Classic. The Catamounts opened the morning of play sweeping the singles matches against Presbyterian.

‘Tarheel Tune-Up’ win locks Payne into finale

On Friday, Sept. 24 Tri County Racetrack in Brasstown opened its gates for “Tarheel Tune-Up,” a preview to the track’s season ender. Along with a $2,000-to-win Super Late Model race, all other divisions were in action.
