YHC remains ranked No. 1 in latest NCAA regional rankings

The Young Harris College men's soccer team remained No. 1 in the third release of the NCAA Division II regional rankings.   Men's soccer is the first Young Harris program to be ranked in the NCAA regional rankings this year in their respective sport.

Devils end Yellow Jackets’ season

The varsity Yellow Jacket football team entered the post-season matched up against a familiar foe. On Friday, Nov. 5, Hayesville’s team headed to Bryson City to face the Maroon Devils. Unfortunately for Jacket Nation, the tournament event was almost a replay of the regular season game.

Hayesville falls to conference champs

A flashy start for the varsity Yellow Jacket football team wasn’t enough to hold off Robinsville Friday, Oct. 29. After grabbing the lead early in the first quarter, Hayesville was unable to stop the Black Knight’s offensive attack and suffered the 31-14 loss.

HHS has six runners in top 20 at conference meet

Runners representing Hayesville High School traveled to Bryson City Saturday, Oct. 23 to compete in the Smoky Mountain Conference championship. A small roster of athletes kept the Yellow Jackets from competing for a conference title, but the black and Vegas gold brigade showed a lot of heart.

Catamounts Cruise Past Pioneers in Exhibition Contest

Western Carolina had five players finish in double-figure scoring on Monday night as the Catamounts used a big first half behind the 3-point arc to defeat Campbellsville Harrodsburg 106-62 Monday in an exhibition game on Ingles Court at the Ramsey Center.
