Pickleball Club member honored through award

Nolan Lang, a long-time member and the second president of the Blairsville Pickleball Club, was awarded the title of “President Emeritus” for his many years of leading and promoting the club. The Blairsville Pickleball Club began in 2015 with only 20 members.

Rob King steps down as women's soccer coach

Young Harris College Director of Athletics Jennifer Rushton has announced that Rob King has stepped down as head coach of the women's soccer program, effective Jan. 31.

Lady Jackets fall to Robbinsville

Hayesville’s Lady  Yellow Jackets fell to the Black Knights in Robbinsville Friday, Jan.7  by the final of 64-38.  The first quarter brought 10 points for Hayesville with the Lady Knights sinking 15 points to take the lead. It was a tight defensive game with both teams guarding their nets intently.

Yellow Jackets win a close one

The undefeated Hayesville Yellow Jackets met up with a tough match Friday, Jan.7 in Robbinsville, but managed to outlast the Black Knights for a 51-44 win.  Robbinsville kept the Jackets on their toes in the first quarter.

Catamounts Host Chattanooga in Blackout Game

 Western Carolina returns to Ingles Court at the Ramsey Center on Wednesday night as the Catamounts host preseason Southern Conference favorite Chattanooga at 7 p.m. Wednesday’s game has been billed a Blackout with fans encouraged to wear black WCU gear to the game.
