Lady Jackets crush Andrews

One game is in the books for Lady Jacket basketball team from Hayesville Middle School. The Lady Jackets started the season by hosting Andrews Monday, Nov. 4. It was apparent early that Hayesville was the dominant team and the Lady Jackets got in the win column wth a 44-11 victory.

Jackets too tough for Tigers

For the first time in 12 years the Hayesville Yellow Jacket varsity football team has seven victories. The latest win came Friday, Nov. 1 in Rosman against the Tigers. Hayesville scored early and often on their way to a dominating 35-10 victory.

Rosman ends Lady Jackets’ season

After being eliminated from the Smoky Mountain Conference tournament, Hayesville’s varsity volleyball team awaited playoff seedings and schedules. When the information was released, the Lady Jackets found themselves a 17 seed and matched-up with 16 seed Rosman in the first round. On Saturday, Oct.

Bronze medals hang around the necks of the third place Pee Wee cheerleaders.  On the roster this year is Reagan Earles, Skyler Fuller, Diamond Herrera, Raygan Hughes, Becca Killian, Alex Patterson, Emma Rogers, Grayson Shook, Finley Taylor and Briella White.

Lady Jackets are SMC champs

On Wednesday, Oct. 23 Hayesville High’s cross country teams ran at the Smoky Mountain Conference championships in Cherokee. The Hayesville men went into the meet ranked third in the state  just behind Lincoln Charter and Murphy High. The Lady Jackets entered the meet ranked fifth in the state.

Jackets clench SMC title

The Yellow Jacket soccer team has had quite the sea- son. Scheduling issues kept Hayesville from having any non-conference matches. The Jackets jumped right into conference play and quickly established themselves as a contender for the Smoky Mountain Conference championship.

Jackets run past Braves

The Hayesville Yellow Jackets exited their tunnel and ran to a soggy field at Frank R. Long stadium Friday, Oct. 25.  The game against Cherokee was delayed slightly due to a traffic back-up which slowed the Braves' trip.

Middle school wins SMC championship

The season ended in a big way for the Hayesville Middle School cross country team. Runners clad in black and Vegas gold competed in the Smoky Mountain Conference championship meet in Cherokee Wednesday, Oct. 16.

Robbinsville eliminates Lady Jackets

It's a crucial time of the season for the varsity Lady Yellow Jacket volleyball team. Over the past week Hayesville has transitioned from regular to post-season play. The Lady Jackets finished their regular season in The Hive with a 2-0 win over Cherokee Thursday, Oct. 17. On Monday, Oct.
