David Almon Whitfield

David Almon Whitfield, a resident of Hayesville, a father, brother, uncle, nephew, cousin and loving friend, passed into Paradise on March 4, 2020. Mr. Whitfield was born Dec. 16, 1958 in Copperhill, Tenn. He grew up in Walled Lake, Mich.

J.C. Moss

J.C. Moss, of Smyrna, Ga. originally from Hayesville, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 26, 2020. He was a loving husband, dad, papaw, brother, uncle and friend. J.C. enjoyed spending time with his granddaughters and family, trout fishing and playing his mandolin. He served in the U.S.

Richard Parker

Richard Parker, 93, of Andrews, passed away Thursday, Feb. 27, 2020. Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. Sunday, March 1 in the chapel of Ivie Funeral Home, Andrews. The family received friends from 1-2:45 p.m. Sunday at the Ivie Funeral Home, Andrews prior to the services.

Jerry Richard Owen

Jerry Richard Owen, 75, a God-Fearing Christian man, of Brevard, N.C., made his heavenly journey on Feb. 21, 2020. He was the loving husband of Brenda Wise Owen. They shared almost 50 years of marriage. He was the example of an extraordinary husband, daddy, granddaddy and friend.

Patricia Carole Moody

Patricia Carole Moody, age 78, passed away on Thurs- day, Feb. 20, 2020 at the Hayesville House. A native of Buncombe County, she was the daughter of the late Luther Kenneth and Frances Campbell Moody. Carole had attended the North Carolina School for the Deaf in Morganton, N.C.

Blanche Hogsed

Ms. Blanche Hogsed, 100, of Hiawassee, Ga., passed away Tuesday, Feb. 18, 2020. Blanche was born to the late Mr. and Mrs. JVA and Emma Sellers Moore on Sept. 21, 1919 in Hayesville. Blanche was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church, was the baby of 10 siblings and she was a true Christian lady.

Keith Norman Lamontagne

Keith Norman Lamontagne, 70, of Hayesville, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 18, 2020 in a Chattanooga, Tenn. hospital. He was a native of Springfield, Mass., where he was raised and worked various jobs. Keith moved to Boston, Mass. where he began work as a clinical social worker.

Richard Brown Caldwell

Mr. Richard Brown Caldwell, 76, of Family Church Road Murphy, N.C., passed away peacefully on Friday, Feb. 14, 2020 at his home with his loving family by his side following an extended illness. Richard was born on March 5, 1943 in Murphy, the son of the late Brown and Rebecca Mauney Caldwell.
